This simple pole building with very little joints and lashed together is holding an impressive six ton of Reed. The principle A frame with purlins, rafters and batten it’s not too dissimilar to present day framing. Not bad from Neolithic period.

Visualizing your space from models. I think these guys win 😁

During the heatwave. We’ve had to help Mother Nature on previous Green roofs that we’ve installed. A simple soaker hose helped the roof during very dry spells.

A little bank holiday fun

Heathland restoration. The hard work is so rewarding when the Ling and Bell heather is established ❤️

What a lovely choice of colour, it’s been really lovely being back here helping paint. After such a busy time of late, it was quite therapeutic. The clients have been busy too, some lovely drystone walling and planting. The paint is silicate based which is great for breathable walls.

This roof was huge, Milled and laid by us using the estates own grown Western Red Cedar, it is for the new
Goodwood Estate Education centre. Always a pleasure to work with the very dedicated Estate and Forestry teams.

This was a real joy to build. The client said that art should be enjoyed from living within and they have that pleasure.

Sneaky peek of almost completing our latest project.

Today’s lesson was how to lay a curved slate roof.
